9 civilians escape from LTTE, seek protection with troops- Vavuniya

image  9 civilians who were held captive by LTTE in the non-liberated Wanni area fled from the terrorist outfit and sought protection with security forces at Omanthai, Vavuniya, today (Dec 3).  The civilians included 7 males and 2 females who had undergone unprecedented hardships with LTTE, our sources at Omanthai said. According to military, the civilians were later directed to the IDP welfare center at Manik Farm area.
